TWIN TIGERS KARATE ACADEMY
CLASSROOM RULES
100% EFFORT
Each student should arrive 15 minutes early to stretch and warm up. Stretching is very important in karate so you won’t get hurt. If you are late to class, 10 push-ups are required before you enter into class activity.
Practicing your karate at home in a controlled environment is a must for advancement.
PERSEVERANCE
For school-age students, school grades need to be kept at an acceptable level. Behavior at school and at home must also be at an acceptable level.
RESPECT
Each student should respectfully salute the flags by a bow when entering and leaving class.
Refer to instructors and each other using their title “Mr., Miss, Mrs., etc”.
AND HUMILITY
All Instructors, Black belt or otherwise, will be given full respect. No talking, playing, or interrupting in class. Push-ups are given for disrespect. Bragging or boasting is not acceptable inside or outside of class.
SELF CONTROL
Use the restrooms before and after class. Speak to the instructor if there is a special circumstance that causes you to leave the class during class. Anytime you must leave the classroom, get the instructor’s permission. 10 push-ups are given if you must leave the room. You may bring drinking water into the classroom and set it to the side.
No running or excessive playing in the studio. No loud or disruptive behavior in the studio. No talking in class without permission. No smoking, eating, and gum chewing in the studio.

Karate will be practiced only in class or at home under the supervision of a parent....NOT AT SCHOOL, CHURCH, PLAYGROUND OR ANYWHERE ELSE.
DISCIPLINE
Only the official uniform should be worn during class unless you get permission from the instructors to wear something different on a temporary basis. Uniforms with proper patches and belt must be worn to all tests. Uniforms should be kept clean and neat.
Students must help keep the classroom clean. Pick up all clothing, shoes, trash, etc.
The discipline of being given push-ups for breaking the rules is used in this karate studio. Discipline is used to “teach”, not to “punish”.
